Discount days for green waste
MAREEBA Shire residents can take advantage of heavily discounted green waste disposal days at local transfer stations.
The discount days allow locals to dump vegetation waste such as grass clippings, pruning waste, leaves and small branches for $5 a load.
Commercial operators are unable to use the discount days.
The dates are:
Mareeba, Kuranda, Dimbulah and Julatten transfer stations – 11-12 April; Almaden, Irvinebank and Mt Molloy – 7 and 11 April; Mt Carbine Transfer Station – 9 April and 12 April; Mutchilba Transfer Station – 8 and 11 April; and Chillagoe Transfer Station – 9 and 11 April.
