Neither side managed to hit the scoreboard in the first half, but Darcy McCormack finally scored for the Bulls at the 82-minute mark of the game.

The Bulls could have been home with that goal, but the Comets’ Harry Smythe managed to put one into the net right before the final siren.

The premier men’s side only have one more game to play for this season – at home against Innisfail United on Saturday night from 7pm.

The Under 23 side did not fare as well as the A Grade, going down to the Comets 3-1 on Saturday night.

The only goal for Mareeba came in the 45th minute from Leon Peressini.

The last game for the side is on Saturday from 5pm when they take on Innisfail United.

For the Bulls women’s side, Friday night’s game against the Edge Hill Tigers proved to be a real disappointment, going down to their opposition 10-0.

Their last game for the 2025 season is at home against the Redlynch Strikers on Friday night from 7.30pm.
