Dress fancy and support charity

THE second annual Tablelands Healthcare Charity Ball will be held later this year, following a successful fundraising effort at the inaugural event in 2025.

The Healthcare Ball was created as a “thank you” to local health workers and in its first running last year it raised $6,000 for the Atherton Friends of the Hospital Foundation.

Building on that success, organisers are already gearing up for September, with the theme being “The Mad Hatters Fancy Dress Ball” and proceeds supporting the Malanda Lions Aged Pensioner Unit Project.

With live music by The A Street Band, lucky door prizes, a best dressed competition, and bubbles on arrival, this year’s event is shaping up to be another great evening.

The Ball will be held on 5 September at the Malanda Big Pub from 6.30pm-11.30pm. Tickets are $80 and on sale now. To book, contact the Big Pub on 4096 7720.
