Eagles soar!
THE Atherton Eagles are flying high as they head into the finals rounds, wrapping up an impressive season with their Men’s Division 1 team claiming the minor premiership and their four competitive junior teams all securing top-four finishes.

This season also marks an historic milestone for the club, with the introduction of an all-girls team in the 12/13 age group.
These talented young players showed grit and determination throughout the season, finishing 4th on the ladder and making a strong statement in their debut year.
The U13s team also secured 4th place overall, while the U14s finished strong in 3rd position, setting up exciting semi-final matchups.
Leading the charge, the 15/16s team dominated the competition, finishing the regular season in 1st place and taking home the Minor Premiership.
Matching that success, the Men’s Division 1 team in the Far North Community League also claimed top spot on the ladder, proudly securing their own Minor Premiership title.
Club president Jason Cummings praised the efforts of everyone involved.
“The dedication of our coaches and managers has been invaluable, and these results are well deserved,” he said.
“We’re incredibly proud of the kids, the teamwork, and the strong culture within the club.
“We also want to thank the parents who, week in and week out, make the trip to Cairns to support their children and help make it all happen.”
