Event a journey through history
THE Atherton Eagles is inviting all current and past players, members, and anyone who has been affiliated with the club to attend a special event this weekend.
The soccer club is looking for old photos, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, jerseys, trophies, programs, memories, or anything that tells a story of its rich history.
“This afternoon is all about gathering information, filling in the blanks, and bringing together people who’ve shaped the club over the years,” club treasurer Andrea Rocca said.
“We’re building a timeline of the Atherton Eagles, and we can’t do it without your help. So come along for an afternoon of drinks and appetizers, laughs, memories, and a bit of football history.
“Everyone is welcome. Players, coaches, families, supporters, and anyone who loves the game.”
The event will be held this Sunday from 3-5pm at the Atherton International Club. Attendees are also welcome to book in for dinner at the venue after the event is finished.
