Sponsored by Bendigo Bank, the annual event attracted 16 teams across three divisions to vie it out on the Mareeba courts, with two Tablelands teams taking out top honours.

Players attended from Mareeba, Tablelands (Atherton Tennis Club and Malanda), Clifton Beach Tennis Club, Cooktown Tennis Club, Tully, Innisfail and District Tennis Association, and Port Douglas Tennis Club.

It was a big day of tennis, with the first round of games starting at 9am and the last round at 5pm.

Rounding out top spot in the Special Men’s division was the Tableland Aces, for the B Grade Men’s it was the Clifton Beach Uthai, and for the Ladies it was the Tableland Terminators.

“Thank you to all who participated in the tournament, and a big thank you to the wonderful volunteers who assisted around the club during the day,” Mareeba Tennis Club president Mark Keating said.
