Topping the leaderboard at the moment is Weston Hilditch with a beautiful 1.273kg mango brought into the office last week. Jovie Hilditch also lodged a 1.255kg specimen.

Teo Palumbo has put in a 1.210kg mango.

There’s still plenty of time to enter your mango, with the competition closing on Friday 30 January.

First place in the competition will be rewarded with $500, second place $300, and third place $200, courtesy of Lindsay Rural Transport.

All mangoes entered must be a Kensington Pride variety, photographed on electronic scales clearly showing the weight and viewed by a member of The Express team or Joe Moro from FNQ Growers – afterwards all mangos will be consumed by The Express managing editor to ensure legitimacy and quality.

To enter, present your mango and photo to The Express office at 186 Byrnes Street before 30 January.
