Forum explores later life
PLANNING for later life is the focus of a free forum to be held in Atherton this month.
Tablelands Regional Council is hosting the “Your Care, Your Choices Forum” as part of National Advanced Care Planning Week from 16-22 March.
The forum aims to support Tablelands residents aged 55 and over with practical knowledge about advanced care, encouraging early planning for later life.
The forum will also provide advice for navigating local services and programs available and help inform conversations within families and the broader community.
Participants will hear from a range of industry professionals, sharing insights on key topics relevant to ageing well, advanced care planning and preparing for later life.
The forum will be held 9.30am-12.30pm on 18 March at Merriland Hall.
The forum is accessible, inclusive and welcoming to all residents, including those with mobility needs. Participants are encouraged to bring along family members and carers.
