Free basic chainsaw training
FREE basic training on how to use a chainsaw is being offered across Mareeba Shire next month.
This is nationally accredited training and covers two units of competency –maintaining chainsaws and how to trim and cut felled trees.
The training will be held at Irvinebank on 7 April; Chillagoe Hub Meeting Room on 8 April; Mareeba’s Cedric Davies Hall on 30 April; Kuranda’s Community Centre on 18 April; and Mt Molloy’s Memorial Hall on 29 April.
The training will be from 8am-5pm.
Places are strictly limited and registration is essential. Express an interest by going to council’s website and search for “community training”.
