Free concert at Arnold Park
AFTER a great response to last month’s Mareeba Music in the Park, the Hot Shots Big Band will be back in action this Sunday at Arnold Park.
The Hot Shots Big Band will swing into action on Sunday, 24 May.
About 100 people turned up for the first free concert in April, organised by band member Robert Colman.
“We had the Dance for Life people there, and they danced on the basketball courts,” Mr Colman said.
“So we played a few requests for them,” he said.

The crowd took the opportunity to bring chairs or a picnic, and the band performed an eclectic repertoire from classic swing to modern pop.
On Sunday the band plays from 2.30pm until 5pm, with the free event supported by the Mareeba Shire Council.
More events will be held on 28 June, 26 July, 23 August and 20 September.
