Free exercise program is back
TABLELANDS Regional Council is again offering their popular free Rural Active Exercise Program for men and women aged 40 and over in the Tablelands region.

“The programs aim to increase physical activity participation among people aged 40-plus on the Tablelands, contributing to their overall health and wellbeing,” Deputy Mayor Dave Bilney said.
“The program is inclusive of all abilities, social and economic backgrounds, experience levels and health conditions, and encourages ongoing positive behaviour change and healthy habits.”
Cr Bilney said the program focuses on strengthening core muscle groups, improving cardiovascular fitness and joint range of movement, resistance-based exercises and improving functional strength to aid in fall prevention.
“An accredited exercise physiologist will demonstrate, instruct and supervise participants,” he said. “Places are limited so register as soon as you can, so you don’t miss out.”
