Free mental health training
A FREE two-day mental health training course will be held across the Mareeba Shire and the Tablelands during May and June.
The Mental Health First Aid course, to be hosted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service, will teach participants how to support someone experiencing a mental health challenge.
Participants will learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, provide initial support, and guide someone towards appropriate help.
Morning tea will be provided. The course will be held on the following dates:
Watsonville: 5-6 May, Julatten: 11-12 May, Dimbulah: 19-20 May, Mareeba: 23-24 May, Koah: 27-28 May, Kuranda: 2-3 June, Ravenshoe: 3-4 June, Atherton: 6-7 June, Chillagoe: 9-10 June, Atherton: 16-17 June, and Yungaburra: 23-24 June.
