The Rural Active Hydrotherapy Program is aimed at men and women aged 40 and over in the Tablelands region.

“The six-week, water-based programs increase physical activity among over 40s and support improved health, mobility and wellbeing,” Tablelands Deputy Mayor Dave Bilney said.

“The classes are inclusive and welcome people of all abilities, health conditions, socioeconomic backgrounds and experience levels.

“We’re offering women’s classes as well as mixed classes for men and women.”

The sessions are led by an accredited exercise physiologist who will demonstrate, guide and supervise exercises to ensure safety and effectiveness.

The sessions for women start at the Atherton Pool on Wednesday from 9am-9.45am and go until 11 March.

The mixed (men and women) sessions are from 9.45am-10.30am on Wednesday until 11 March.

Places are limited so register online at www.trc.qld.gov.au/rural-active-hydro-program/
