The half-day, interactive session will include topics such as volunteer recruitment and engagement, fundraising to drive financial self-sufficiency and sustainability, partnership development collaboration to help unlock untapped opportunities, and conflict management and resolution.

“Tablelands Regional Council is committed to developing and strengthening partnerships with community groups and other organisations to deliver a range of recreation and sport opportunities and to encourage meaningful connections between people in our community,” Deputy Mayor Dave Bilney said.

“The Club Development Program is designed to help our local volunteers feel confident and supported in their roles.”

The council will host the workshop in collaboration with ClubMap, one of Australia’s leading sports governance, planning and community development providers. Lunch will be provided for attendees at no cost.

The workshop will be held on 14 March between 9am and 1pm at the TRC Coordination Centre, Vernon Street, Atherton. Places are limited so register by Thursday 12 March at: https://www.trc.qld.gov.au/club-development
