Fun tennis event returns
MAREEBA Tennis Club’s Community Challenge is returning for another day of sporting fun later this month.
The club is inviting local businesses, organisations, community groups, schools, and community members to put together a team of three to four players to play doubles competitions in tennis, pop tennis, and pickleball.
There will be a number of prizes donated by local businesses to be won on the day and attendees are also encouraged to come in fancy dress to add to the entertainment.
The competition will be held Saturday 28 March from 4pm, with gates opening at 3pm and a registration fee of just $20 per person to be paid by cash or card on the day. The bar will open at 4pm and a barbecue dinner is included in the registration fees.
