Get aboard the Gillies 100th celebrations

FROM vintage cars and billy cart auctions to 1920s fashion, historic machinery displays, photography, music, fine food and kids’ entertainment, the Gilles Range Road Centenary Celebrations in Yungaburra this weekend will be a festive step back in time.

Organisers have been planning the weekend, from 10-12 July, since the end of last year.

The event marks 100 years since the Gillies Range Road opened and created an historic connection between the Tablelands and the coastal towns below.

The CBD of Yungaburra will have road closures from 8am to 5.30pm, with a detour via Cedar St. Public parking will be located off Rankine Avenue.
