Gladiators call it a season
THE Mareeba Gladiators finished their season in eighth place on the FNQRL ladder following a 44-28 loss to the Mossman Sharks in the final round.

The Gladiators put up a good fight and had moments of brilliance but were ultimately outclassed by a fourth-place-finishing Mossman outfit.
Tries for Mareeba came from second rower Kyle Hastie, props Ash Little and Caleb Dally, five-eighth Bronson Ryan, and one of the centres.
The Gladiators also kicked five from five conversions, with halfback Kaleb Eaton kicking four of those.
The Gladiators Reserve Grade were also unlucky, going down 24-36 to the Mossman Reserve Grade side and finishing in ninth spot for the season.
Tries for the Mareeba side went to second rower Tristan Lopez, hooker Callum McCarthy, and a double for front rower Avala Atileo.
