Gladiators look to new year ahead
THE Mareeba Gladiators have come under new leadership with their 2021 committee being announced after a meeting on Sunday, November 15.

Daryl Fraser will be taking over the President’s position with John Arcidiacono as the Vice President, the Secretary position has been awarded tooPat Veschetti while the Treasurer is Rachael Morgan, they arestill in the process of lookingfor a Registrar.
Mr Fraser is looking forward to the 2021 season withthe committee’s and communities support behind him and theGladiators.
“I’ve always been one to saythat if I’m going to do something I need to know that I canput 100 percent into it,” he said.
“We’ve got a strong littlecrew, a determined little committee so they’re going to be abig help for me.
“Within a week we are starting to feel a bit more comfortable about what we are going tobe doing this year.”
Currently there are two important volunteer positions thatremain vacant and Mr Fraser isimploring anyone who is interested to come forward.
A Canteen Coordinator and a Game Day Coordinator are needed by the club to ensurethat the canteen runs smoothlyand that the games run to schedule.
“The Canteen Coordinator and Game Day Coordinator areboth big roles,” Mr Fraser said.
“The Canteen Coordinator is a role that we need to fill they coordinate the food, the roster and ensure that people are fed.
“If we can get someone to put up their hand to be the Game Day Coordinator to make the games run smoothly that is going to be another big help.”
