Glittering spectacular for good cause
MORE than $6,000 was raised at an inaugural gala ball held for local health workers, with the funds being donated to the Hospital Foundation.

The very first Black and Gold Gala Ball was a huge success, with 150 Tablelands health workers and their guests gathering at the Big Pub Malanda for a good cause.
The event was held as a “thank you” to local health workers and was also a fundraiser for the Atherton Friends of the Hospital Foundation.
Event organisers said the ball was a “glittering spectacular” and guests danced the night away to the sounds of the A Street Band. They also shared in over $3,000 worth of prizes generously donated by community sponsors.
Member for Hill Shane Knuth was also in attendance as a special guest speaker and shared a heartfelt message of support and gratitude for every person in the room.
