Going back to the 60s
LOCALS are invited to come together for a relaxed afternoon of music, memories, and a little dancing at “The 60s Music and Dance” event to be held in Yungaburra this Sunday.

To be held at the Yungaburra Men’s Shed in Memorial Park from 2pm to 4pm, the free community event is all about remembering the wonderful days of the weekly Junior Farmers dances of the 1960s.
Everyone is invited to come along, have a chat, and enjoy the music that filled the dance floors back then, from favourites like The Shadows, Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Roy Orbison, Little Pattie, Col Joy, Connie Francis, and The Supremes.
There will also be plenty of reminiscing about local bands and familiar faces, including Michael and The Mustangs, The Fireflies, The Arandells, Bold as Brass, Mrs Whitaker, and Donny.
Dancing is definitely on the agenda, so come prepared with your dancing shoes if you feel like a twirl or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.
Guests are encouraged to bring a plate to share for afternoon tea, with tea and coffee provided.
The event promises to be a lovely opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy a true village-style afternoon together.
