Grand event for shopping centre

ATHERTON’s Silo Central Shopping Centre will be hosting a grand re-opening celebration this weekend after months of extensive refurbishment.

The shopping centre that houses the award-winning Fresh St Market IGA will be holding the event from 9am-1pm this Saturday, with one lucky shopper going in the draw to win a “huge” Christmas hamper, which will be drawn by MP Shane Knuth at 12.20pm.

There will be plenty on offer for local families as well, including kids’ activities and face painting, market stalls, entertainment with live Christmas carols, and the United Tableland Pipe Band.
