The event celebrates the rich agricultural history and mechanical heritage of the Tablelands.
Now in its second year, the community event will feature a wide display of heritage tractors, trucks, engines and machinery used in agriculture across the Tablelands and the wider region.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet passionate collectors and enthusiasts while learning about the machines that helped shape the area’s agricultural and economic development.
A highlight of the day will be live tractor pull demonstrations by NQ Tractor Pulling, running throughout the morning.
The demonstration will showcase vintage and classic tractors as they pull a purpose-built weight transfer sled along a 120-metre track, displaying what the old vehicles look like in full action.
Visitors can also enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly morning featuring heritage machinery displays, with refreshments available for purchase from the Lions food van and the Whippy Express, along with Lions train rides which are available by gold coin donation.
With the popular Yungaburra Markets taking place uptown at the market grounds on the same morning, visitors are encouraged to make a day of it and explore all that the village has to offer.
The event is presented by the Yungaburra Lions Club, with proceeds supporting their local community initiatives including the Medical Aid Equipment Project, which provides essential equipment to people across the Tablelands recovering from surgery, receiving palliative care, or unable to afford necessary medical aids.
The club warmly welcomes new members and encourages anyone interested in supporting their community to get involved.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Heritage Tractor and Machinery Day, which will be held this Saturday at Lions Oval, Yungaburra from 9am-1pm.
