Housing builds lower
MORE than 40 new dwellings have been built in the Tablelands Regional Council area in the past three months, according to the latest quarterly report.
In the 2024-25 financial year, 149 new dwellings have been built which was less than the previous 12 months when 196 were constructed.
Over the past five years, 773 new dwellings have been built.
The report also shows that 85 residential lots were approved in the 2024-25 financial year, similar to last year, but are nowhere near as high as 2021-22 (196 lots approved) and 2022-23 (269 lots).
