The production of Disney’s Newsies Jr is a musical with something for everyone - an inspiring story, with great songs, and stunning costumes and sets.

The musical is based on a dramatic real-life event in 1899, when underpaid child newspaper sellers in New York City formed a union and went on strike.

It’s a story of young people heroically standing up to oppression and finding friendship and purpose along the way.

The show is suitable for audiences of all ages – children will identify with the teenage main characters, adults will appreciate the themes of revolution and camaraderie, and everyone will love the humour, drama, and spectacular song and dance numbers.

The production is directed by Sarah Riber with APA Youth Theatre veterans Meena Riber and Evelyn Hart joined by exciting new talents Clover Charlton and Eva Rattray in the lead roles.

The show also includes a stunning new set created by regular APA artists Rob Mian and Antonia Chew.

The show runs from 21-30 November. Bookings can be made through Tablelands Books or trybooking.com
