Alexa was over the moon when she finally received her official World Record certificate in the mail.

Alexa received her certificate in the mail last week after claiming the record with 2,656 individual Shopkins – over 600 more than the previous record of 2,046.

She was ecstatic that the record was officially hers.

“It’s great. It feels so good to tell people. It’s pretty cool,” the young local said with a big grin.

Alexa began collecting Shopkins when she was just seven years old. After seeing another student at school with one, she convinced her uncle that she had to buy these new toys.

Ten years on, she now boasts a massive collection of over 4,000 individual items. However, for the World Record attempt, duplicates were not counted.

Shopkins are small collectibles that were released by Moose Toys in 2014 and sold at outlets such as Coles and Kmart up until 2023 when they stopped production. There are 17 seasons and many other items were sold, such as dolls, merchandise, magazines, cards, and play sets. They were also the number one selling toy in 2014.

A photo of Alexa and her collection is even included in one of the magazines, Book Number 13, so that was “obviously” her favourite out of her entire collection. But her favourite figurine was a purple limited edition piece called Donna Donut.

Alexa still buys Shopkins, which can be found online through channels like Ebay. She is always on the lookout for the rarest of them all, which are the limited editions, with some being sold for thousands of dollars.

In the words of the Guinness World Records, she is officially amazing.
