Jersey night sets new record

A NEW club record was set at the Mareeba Gladiators’ Jersey Auction Night on Friday, with a whopping $52,550 being raised throughout the event.

Jersey number nine and number ten garnered the highest bids of the night, with Lecker Farming securing one and DBN Hair securing the other.

Gladiators president Shaun Fincham said he was grateful for the community who came along to support the club and looked forward to the season ahead. 

“It was a really good night at the Mareeba Leagues Club and was well supported by the community and our valued sponsors,” he said. 

The Gladiator’s will sport their jerseys during their first game of the year, which will be a trial match against Edmonton at Davies Park on 24 February.
