Junior league sign on
A JUNIOR rugby league sign on day and skills session will be held by the Mareeba Gladiators this weekend.
It’s that time of the year again for our little, local league players to register for the upcoming season at Mareeba Junior Rugby League’s annual sign on day.
“Junior footy is about kids first – fun, friendships, confidence, and being part of a club that has their back,” the club said.
“As we get ready for the 2026 season, MJRL remains focused on what matters most – our players and our families.
“Our priority is supporting a safe, positive and enjoyable footy experience for every child who pulls on the green and gold. We’re excited to welcome returning and new families for another season.”
The event will be held this Saturday from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Mareeba Leagues Club, though online registrations are already open. Training for junior league will begin on 12 February.
An additional bonus for this year’s sign on day will see the club’s senior squad come along at 11.30am for a skills session with the juniors, so kids are asked to bring their boots.
