Land carers to be lauded

AGRICULTURAL and environmental champions who are making a difference for the land, water, soils, animals, plants and ecosystems being restored and protected in our region can now be nominated for the 2026 Queensland Landcare Awards.

The awards feature a diverse range of categories, spanning all ages and areas of interest, including the Australian Government Landcare Innovation Award; Sustainable Agriculture Landcare Award; Individual Landcarer Award; Community Partnerships Landcare Award; the Coastcare Award; First Nations Landcare Collaboration Award; Women in Landcare Award; Junior Landcare Award; and NextGen Landcare Award.

Nominations are free and must be lodged by Friday 31 July.
