Fatal crash near Mareeba
A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash near Mareeba yesterday.
A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash between Paddys Green and Arriga yesterday.
According to a Queensland Ambulance Spokesperson "Paramedics and the rescue helicopter responded to a call out at about 4.42pm to a singe vehicle accident on the Mareeba Dimbulah Road near Tyrconnell Road," they said.
Its believed the driver of a 4WD lost control of the vehicle and as it left the road, it rolled before hitting a tree.
A passenger, a man in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a woman in her thirties, was airlifted to Cairns Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two other male passengers were transported to Mareeba Hospital with minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
