THE Mareeba Lioness club invites you to a day full of fun and entertainment this Saturday for the annual Pink Ribbon Garden Party.

Hosted at the Mareeba Turf Club, the garden party is an annual event with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research.

Featuring an afternoon tea, fashion parade plus local singers and entertainment, the day is set to be a local spectacle.

With a $10,000 donation goal, the Mareeba Lioness Club is hoping to see upwards of 150 people through the gates on Saturday.

Mareeba Lioness Club President Lyn Dyer encourages locals to come along for a great day.

“It’s a beautiful afternoon and is such a great atmosphere,” she said.

“It’s all for a good cause, so come on out for a day of fun.”

Preparations for the party are “coming along quite smoothly” according to Mrs Dyer.

“There are a good amount of tickets being sold,” she said.

“I’d like to thank the club members for their tireless efforts and members of the community for their generous donations.”

For those interested in attending, bookings can be made at Mareeba Rockmans. Gates to the event open at 1pm on Saturday.
