National Missing Persons Week is August 2 to 8 and The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is calling on the public to help solve long term missing persons’ investigations.Each day this week, The Express will be featuring one long term missing person from FNQ.
Reece Kearney was last seen on December 21, 2017, after attending the funeral of a close friend who passed away suddenly. He was in a distressed and agitated state.
At the time of his disappearance, Reece was living with his parents at Julatten.
After returning from a trip into town Reece’s mother discovered that her motorcycle was missing from her home and Reece was unable to be located
On the February 8, the motorcycle was located at the Telstra Tower on the Newcastle Range, approx 20 kilometres east of Georgetown however Reece was not located.
Investigations into Reece’s whereabouts have failed to locate him and there are grave concerns for his welfare and safety.
