Horror weekend on FNQ roads
It was a deadly weekend on Far North Queensland roads as multiple accidents across the region caused three deaths and numerous injuries.

On Saturday, July 11 at 3.49 pm, Paramedics and the Rescue Helicopter responded to an ATV rollover on Quaids Road about seven kilometres east of the Mulligan Highway near Mount Molloy.
It's believed the ATV had three occupants and that it left the road and landed in a ditch.
Queensland Ambulance reported that a male in his 20s was treated for critical injuries at the scene however sadly was declared deceased.
Two other patients, a male and a female, with minor injuries were transported in a stable condition to Mareeba Hospital.
Also on Saturday, July 11, a man was killed after a motorcycle crash at Almaden.
Initial investigations indicate that around 1pm the motorcyclist was travelling south on Almaden Gingerella Road with two other riders and lost control on an unsealed section of the road.
His friends tried saving him and set off an EPIRB which a passing light aircraft detected. Police and Paramedics then rushed to the remote area and the 62-year-old man from Manunda was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other motorcyclists were not injured.
Police are also investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Lockhart River on Sunday night (July 12).
According to Police at around 8.40pm on Sunday evening a car travelling on Lockhart River Mission Road lost control and rolled over.
A 16-year-old male passenger who is believed to have been travelling in the ute tray was transported to the Lockhart River Health Centre where he passed away a few hours later.
A 17-year-old male passenger will be flown to Cairns Base Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old male driver and two 16-year-old male passengers were not physically injured.
Acting Inspector Greg Giles confirmed that alcohol was a factor contributing to the accident.
In a fourth incident, another man was flown to Townsville Hospital by Rescue 510 helicopter after crashing his motorbike while mustering cattle on a property near Mt Garnet.
He is understood to be in a stable condition.
Forensic Crash Unit officers are now investigating all of the above accidents.
