Now in its fifth year the Tablelands Ladies Shopping Night is happening again this Friday November 20 from 5pm.

Stores and businesses across Atherton will remain open late and will be offering specials deals and lucky door prizes.

Kay McDonald who owns Country Touches said the night was designed to bring ladies into town.

“We want them to come into town for a catch-up, have some laughs and more importantly shop locally and support small business,” she said.

“The night started about 5 years ago with just a couple of small shops and stalls so that they could have a night out with their friends.

“Now the whole town has gotten involved, just about all of the stores will be offering something on the night.”

Kay said the night starts at 5pm and runs until late.

“In the past, some of the stores have been open past 10 or 11 o’clock they have been that busy,” she said.

“On the night we also supply nibbles, Christmas wrapping and entertainment in the centre of town.

“It’s designed so that the ladies can have a fun night out while supporting our local businesses.”
