The Member for Cook Cynthia Lui has said that due to the COVID-19 crisis her mobile offices have been cancelled until further notice.

Ms Lui’s next mobile office was due to happen this Wednesday, March 25 in Port Douglas and Thursday, March 26 in Mareeba.

“As your local Member of Parliament, I am here for you. Advice from medical experts suggests that we need to limit our physical contact to avoid transmission of Coronavirus from person to person,” she said

“These are challenging times for everyone.  My office is working hard to assist with all enquiries relating to Covid-19. My electorate office is now physically closed. If you have any concerns at all about COVID-19 or any other issue, please contact my office by phone 4223 1100.”

The Member for Cook has held two mobile offices in Mareeba since controversially closing her Tablelands office and moving it to Cairns in November 2019.

There is no word yet and when the next mobile office will be held.
