Passionate young Queenslanders will now get their own chance to have a say in shaping the future of the government with positions open for the Queensland Youth Engagement Panel (QYEP)

Established last year, the QYEP provides young Queenslanders with opportunities to inform decisions that affect their lives and futures.

Queenslanders aged between 16 and 25 can nominate have their say in shaping relevant government policies, programs and projects and helping to improve outcomes for their peers.

Member for Cook Cynthia Lui is calling out to the young people of the Cook electorate to put their hands up for the QYEP.

ā€œIā€™d love to see a young person from the Cook electorate having a voice at this important forum,ā€ she said.

There are currently three positions open on the panel, applications are now open and will close on Thursday March 12 2020.

The panel meets three times a year face-to-face in Brisbane, travel and accommodation for the meetings will be covered for those who live outside of Brisbane.
