Tragic deaths on weekend
TWO men lost their lives on the Tablelands over the weekend in two separate incidents.

A 20-year-old man who had been the subject of an extensive search in Mareeba was located deceased in Emerald Creek Falls on Sunday afternoon.
At 1pm, January 15, the 20-year-old man was reported missing when his friends lost sight of him when he walked ahead of them on Emerald Falls Road.
SES officers, specialist police and swift water rescue assisted with police divers locating the man at 4.15pm on Sunday.
A 53-year-old man also died on Sunday in a single vehicle crash at Tinaroo. Police say preliminary information suggests the man had been driving along Burton Road when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The Tinaroo man suffered significant injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
