Two pedestrians hit in Mareeba CBD

Two pedestrians are in two separate hospitals after being hit by a car on Byrnes Street in Mareeba today.

Two pedestrians are in two separate hospitals after being hit by a car on Byrnes Street in Mareeba today.

Two pedestrians were hit by a car at around 12.35pm today on Byrnes Street in Mareeba.  

A woman was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in critical condition after suffering serious head and chest injuries. While a school-aged child is in stable condition and in the Mareeba Hospital after suffering multiple abrasions.

 A Queensland Police Service spokesman said investigations were continuing.
