Learn how to swim vouchers available
FAMILIES wanting their kids to learn how to swim can now take advantage of the State Government’s Play On! Learn to Swim vouchers.
Eligible parents, carers, and guardians can apply for one voucher worth up to $150 per child aged 0-4 each financial year to help alleviate the cost of swimming lessons with a registered provider which includes the Mareeba, Atherton and Kuranda pools.
The vouchers are aimed at helping remove cost barriers for Queensland families and giving more children the opportunity to build confidence in the water and develop important water safety skills from an early age.
“Swimming is an important part of Queensland’s lifestyle, and this is about giving more young Queenslanders an early start in the pool so they can build confidence and develop important water safety skills,” Minister for Sport Tim Mander said.
Applications are now open. To check eligibility, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/learntoswim
