Learner driver charged with DUI
A WOMAN from North Johnstone was charged with three traffic offences including a DUI in Atherton recently.

It will be alleged at around 11.15am on 19 July, police were conducting patrols in Atherton when they intercepted a blue Holden utility on Herberton Road for a roadside breath test.
After completing police checks it was revealed that the 40-year-old driver did not have a licence. The woman was a learner driver who was not under supervision and no L plates were being displayed.
The woman was arrested and transported to Atherton Hospital where she provided a specimen of her blood for forensic analysis.
The woman was later issued with a notice of immediate suspension and charged with three offences including one count each of learner driver must be properly supervised, learner must not drive vehicle unless L plates are displayed, and driving under the influence of drugs.
She is due to appear at the Atherton Magistrates Court on 5 August.
