Member for Cook Cynthia Lui is holding a Mareeba mobile office on Friday 21 February from 12.30pm to 4pm outside Cornett’s Supa IGA, 135 Byrnes St.
Member for Cook Cynthia Lui is holding a Mareeba mobile office on Friday 21 February from 12.30 pm to 4 pm outside Cornett’s Supa IGA, 135 Byrnes St.
This will be the Ms Lui’s first Mareeba Mobile office for 2020 and only the second since she controversially moved her electorate office to Cairns in November 2019.
Ms Lui said “I'm looking forward to meeting with lots of locals at my mobile office on Friday 21 February
“I run these events at major centres across the electorate on a regular basis to allow constituents to drop in to raise issues, provide me with ideas or just to have a chat.
“It’s a real opportunity to make your voice heard. You don't have to make an appointment, just call by. Often people will just stop by to tell me something simply because they see the stall.
Ms Lui said residents can also book ahead “if you would like to make a specific time, please call the office on 4223 1100”
Mobile offices were also held in Port Douglass and Mosman last week.
Ms Lui will also be in Mareeba on Thursday 27 February to have a round table meeting with Mayor Tom Gilmore, to address the growing crime rate in the Mareeba Shire.
