Local Scots ready to celebrate Burns’ night
THE skirl of the bagpipes, tartans, tunes and toasts will be the order of the night for those of Scottish heritage – and those who wish they were – at Atherton International Club this Saturday night for the staging of the 2026 Annual Burns Night.

Hosted by the Atherton Tableland Caledonian Society, the annual rip-roaring event celebrates all things Scottish.
This is a night not to be missed for those keen to brave a ceilidh dance, tap their toes to the bagpipes, or simply raise a dram and soak up the atmosphere.
Haggis, pipes and drums, Scottish dancing, a three-course dinner, poetry, good company and great fun is assured.
The Tablelands Caledonian Society promotes Scottish culture, dancing and music. It holds Scottish country dancing classes every Wednesday at St Joseph Parish School Hall from 5.30pm to 7pm. Further information is available by phoning 0417 541 126.
