Major achievements recognised
ATHERTON State High School’s students were recognised for their achievements across the school year at its presentation night recently.

The ceremony was well-attended by students, teachers, families, and guests – all who were there to celebrate the year that’s been.
Claiming the prestigious Student of the Year award was Tylah Harris. This award is presented each year to a Year 12 student who is deemed the best all-round student. It is also dedicated to past student Benjamin Chuck, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2010.
Taking out the Year 12 Dux was Jordan Cox, while school captain Lucas Kattenberg claimed the Senior Sports Star of the Year title after a very successful year in the athletic world where he broke records and picked up dozens of wins.
