Mareeba Annual Races results
CAIRNS trainers Trevor and Peter Rowe had a double celebration at Saturday’s Mareeba Cup when their horses placed first and second on the day.
The Mareeba Cup, the highlight of the carnival, was won by 5yo Bold Feeling, ridden by Lacey Morrison. Coming in second for the race, over 2000m, was the 7yo Merry Old Soul, ridden by Krysten Swaffer.
Third place was race favourite Fortified, trained by Joshua Manzelmann, and ridden by Lauren Guernier.
Results for the Bracelet saw jockey Lauren Guernier lead Napoleon Strike across the finish line for first place, with Premium Star second, and Strategist third.
