Mareeba Drive-In boot sale for animals
AFTER a “massive” turnout last year, Mareeba Drive-In is back to host another Car Boot Trash and Treasure fundraiser for the Mareeba Animal Refuge.
“We hope to see heaps of people again this year, selling and buying those treasures,” Refuge spokesperson Sue Jodner said.
The event, on Sunday 7 June, begins at 8am and finishes at 12 noon.
“We are delighted to again be working with Ann-Marie and the team at Mareeba Drive-In, who are hosting another fundraiser for our charity,” Ms Jodner said.
As well as stalls, food and drink will be available, and music will be performed throughout the morning by Aurelle Brunjes and band and Left of Keno, who are donating their time and talent.
“Melissa from Amazing Faces will be doing amazing (obviously!) face painting for the morning as well. And there will be art and craft for the kids,” Ms Jodner said.
The refuge is hoping to bring a few furry guests of honour for a day out.
“The Drive-In and the car boot sale is dog friendly – so well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.”
Stalls are $10, with all fees going to the animal refuge.
