Mareeba Tennis wraps up first season comp
THE Mareeba Tennis Club recently wrapped up Season 1 of their night fixtures with a grand final event that saw teams vie it out for a top spot.

The event was well-attended with a “good-sized crowd on hand to support and heckle the players on court”.
“Thank you to all the players and supporters for a great Season 1,” club president Mark Keating said.
“Season 2 will start shortly after the July school holidays. If anyone is interested in play-ing in a team, please contact me on 0499 505 984.”
Results are as follows:
Division 1
Peter’s Pavlovas defeated Callum’s Croissants by 6 games.
Division 2
Craig’s Cupcakes defeated Emma’s Eclairs by winning a tie-break 8-6 after games were level at the end of regular play.
