Martial artists sought
A LOCAL taekwondo gym is offering a special promotion if interested locals join by the end of the month.
Rhee Taekwondo Mareeba is a humble martial arts club in Mareeba. They are offering a free uniform and drink bottle for any new members who join by this Friday.
The club has been established for 49 years under master instructor Gennaro Arena and is gearing up to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary in 2026.
“We are a family-orientated martial arts practice teaching self defence and building confidence and discipline, as well as bettering individuals’ mental and physical wellbeing,” Arena said.
“For children it is a starting point in life, helping them with their coordination, focus, and discipline.”
Trainings are held Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.15pm-7.15pm at the Mareeba Sports Hall next to the skatepark, located at 183 Walsh St. For more information, contact 0409 055 450.
