Author Sam Woodgarth will give presentations at three libraries.

Sam is a retired teacher who spends her days wrangling cats and talking to imaginary friends. That’s in addition to her prolific writing, publishing books, The DragonSkin Series, The Curse of Argendarria, and The Children of Solra.

“I was devastated when I realised reality didn’t match the fictional worlds I read about so I created my own where the good guys always win and the bad guys get their just desserts,” she said.

“I believe in courage, honour and wisdom, and refuse to accept a world where fear, selfishness and idiocy rule the day.

“I’m all about belonging and compassion and think we’re one step closer to creating a better world if we can imagine a place where gender, religion, ethnicity and age are accepted without question.

“I’m really looking forward to visiting the Tablelands and having the opportunity to connect and inspire current and prospective authors,” Sam added.

Those who are interested can meet Sam on 18 November at Atherton Library (10am-11am), Malanda Library (12.30pm-1.30pm), or the Ravenshoe Library (3pm-4pm).
