Much-loved show ball set to return
THE much-loved Malanda Show Ball is set to return this year, with organisers already gearing up for what they promise will be a great event.
The Malanda Show Society has been unable to host the ball since the closure of the Patrick English Pavilion at the showgrounds because a suitable alternative venue could not be found.
This year that problem has been resolved, with the gala event to be held at the Malanda Dairy Centre.
“This amazing opportunity has been made possible thanks to Bega, who have generously allowed us access to this fantastic space for our event,” a spokesperson said.
“The space is no longer open to the public, so we are grateful for this opportunity.”
The ball will be held from 7pm on Saturday 13 June – two weeks prior to the annual show on 26-28 June. Tickets are available online only from Try Booking from 2 May. Tickets are limited as the venue cannot accommodate the previous number who attended at the pavilion.
Tickets include live music, food by Mexi-van and a free drink on arrival.
