Music lovers put to the test
IT’S a matter of mind over music when the Tableland Music Lovers hold their second Great Music Quiz Trivia Night on Saturday night.

Organisers have put up the challenge to test knowledge in a night filled with rhythm, laughter, and friendly competition.
Hosted by Bruce Thompson, the night begins at 7.30pm and costs $5, and will involve three rounds of trivia, with questions ranging from “easy listening” to “expert only”.
Teams can be up to six people with a great prize for the winning team.
The Grainger Lane venue will come alive again on Sunday with an authentic Queensland Bush Dance.
Featuring Australian folk dancing, with roots in traditional English, Irish and Scottish dances, people dance together in sets or formations to upbeat live music.
Popular five-piece band Tolga Scrub will be accompanied by a “caller” for the dances to be taught. No experience or partner is needed, and all ages are welcome.
Doors open at 2pm, with the dance running from 3pm to 6pm.
A sausage sizzle will be available (weather permitting). Adults $10, kids under 16, $5.
