Musical depicts loved book
ATHERTON Performing Arts is gearing up for its 2026 mainstage production, Little Women the Broadway Musical.

The beloved book by Louisa May Alcott will be brought vividly to life on stage this month, with songs by Broadway legends Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein.
The musical follows the story of four sisters growing up in Civil War era Massachusetts, through romance, heartbreak and self-discovery.
Audiences familiar with the many film adaptations will love this version, which includes all the iconic characters and moments and adds memorable songs.
Directed by Sarah Riber (Into the Woods, Julius Caesar, Newsies), this production features a stunning cast of performers including Cathy Knight and Emily Kitchiner (Into the Woods), Emmy Riber (Julius Caesar, Anne Frank) and APA veteran Jacqui Stephens as Aunt March.
Little Women is a family-friendly show. The show will be performed on 12, 14, 19-21, 26-28 June.
